Anniversary Effect Exhibition
Friday, March 1 – Friday, April 5, 2019
La Crosse, WI–Fannin Counseling & Art Therapy is celebrating its one year anniversary with their upcoming exhibition, Anniversary Effect. The show will run the full month of March and into April: from March 1st to April 5th, 2019.
Artists were asked to submit art in all modes and media that reflect upon the “anniversary effect”. In this exhibition the featured artists are exploring Anniversary Effects, defined as a unique set of feelings, thoughts, or memories with the anniversary of a significant experience and how those relationships and emotions give way to art as a conduit for growth, healing, coping and change.

Melissa Fannin, MA, LPC, ATR, is a licensed counselor and registered art therapist. She specializes in the use of art therapy as a grounded, hands-on approach to developing mindfulness and creating change. Art therapy employs creative, nonverbal means of accessing grief, trauma, and personal issues.
